A Historic Building, A New Beginning

This historic building in downtown Norwalk, Ohio has long been a gathering place, most recently home to a restaurant for over 75 years. After sitting closed for four years, Carlyn Wall and her family took on the project of restoring it top to bottom, reopening its doors as Berry's on Main. We're honored to be part of this building's story, serving up scratch-made dishes in a space with so much history behind it.

A beloved restaurant, brought back to life

After sitting dark for several years, Berry's was revived by Carlyn Wall and her family, who returned it to downtown Norwalk with what the Norwalk Reflector described as "lots of fanfare and great food." They didn't just reopen a restaurant — they gave a community institution its second chapter.

Original mosaic floors, a gold pressed-tin ceiling, leather booths, warm pendant lighting — guests consistently call our restored 1800s interior one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the region.

Under one roof: the main dining room, the Coffee Shop, The Dinky bar with its signature boat liquor cabinet, and an ice cream counter — each with its own personality, all with the same warm welcome.
